About Ben Woodward
Who am I?
I’m a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, offering evidence-based CBT in a straightforward, collaborative and practical way.
I have experience delivering CBT within NHS Talking Therapies, working with adults experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, OCD, panic, trauma and PTSD, depression, low self-esteem and perfectionism.
My approach is focused on helping you make sense of what is happening and why it may have become difficult to change. We’ll develop a shared understanding of the patterns keeping the problem going and use this to guide treatment.
CBT is an active therapy, so our work won’t just involve talking about what has happened. We’ll work together on practical changes and strategies that you can use between sessions, while adapting therapy to you and what you want to achieve.

What Therapy with Me is Like
Therapy does not need to feel overly formal or rehearsed. My aim is to provide a space where you can speak openly, feel understood and take things at a pace that feels manageable.
I’ll ask questions, help make sense of patterns, normalise experiences where appropriate, and be honest about what I think may be keeping the problem going. CBT is not simply about talking, as we’ll also work towards practical changes that can make a meaningful difference outside the therapy room.
